Proposal One
- - How many keepers: 0-2
- - Who’s eligible: 3rd or later draft round + waivers
- - Draft cost for previously drafted players: last year’s draft round minus 1
- - Draft cost for waiver claims: ADP minus 1
- - Keeper deadline: Tuesday before fantasy playoffs start
- - Waiver claims after the keeper deadline can't be kept
- - Players on IR when the keeper deadline hits can't be kept, unless they're still on the
team that drafted them
Proposal Two (the winner)
- - How many keepers: 0-3
- - Who’s eligible: any draft round + waivers, but can’t keep more than will fit in your
starting roster (so can’t keep 2 QBs for example)
- - Draft cost for previously drafted players: last year’s draft round for the first keep,
ADP for the second keep (can’t keep a player more than twice, so three year limit)
- - Draft cost for waiver claims: a late round (~10th-ish)
- - Keeper deadline: same as the trade deadline
- - Waiver claims after the keeper deadline can't be kept
- - Players on IR when the keeper deadline hits can't be kept, unless they're still on the
team that drafted them
Proposal Three
- - Return to random draft order
- - How many keepers: 0-1
- - Who’s eligible: any player you drafted in the prior year (no waiver pickups)
- - Draft cost: loser bracket will be repurposed. Instead of getting first pick:
- --- winner of the loser bracket can keep their keeper in the last round of the draft.
- --- champion from last year must keep their keeper with their first round pick.
- - Draft cost for waiver claims: not allowed
Proposal Four
- - By the Super Bowl, teams place one of their top 3 picks from the year into a protected
pool
- - Pool player must be modified the day before the draft if the player no longer has a top
200 ADP (a.k.a. they were seriously injured or retired in the offseason)
- - Players in the pool can’t be selected until the final round of next year’s draft
- - Final round of the draft is random order
